About South Craven Scouts

South Craven is a one of the 10 Scout Districts in the Scout County of North Yorkshire. Our Scout Groups within the District have Squirrel, Beaver, Cub and Scout sections which feed into Explorer Scouts followed by Network. The Explorers section also has “Young Leaders”. The overall age range is 4 yrs - 25yrs and is all an inclusive organisation. Unfortunately due to a lack of adult volunteers not all the Groups have Squirrels (4-6yrs), which is the newest section in Scouting.

Our aim is to offer fun, challenge and adventure to all our members. We believe in helping young people fulfil their potential by working in teams, learning by doing and thinking for themselves. We believe in Scouting being open to all and are passionate about what we do.

All this is made possible by the efforts of our dedicated team of hard working voluntary adults.

Get Involved and make a difference - Get Involved and make a difference - There are plenty of opportunities for adults to become involved in all aspects of the District, including our new Activity Centre as Helpers, Administrators, Leaders or Assistants.
